Even though the US is currently in the middle of winter, it won’t be long before I get to escape the chilly temperatures.
Why? Well, I’m about to jet off on a once-in-a-lifetime trip. I flew to an island paradise that has over seven million visitors annually and is one of the top honeymoon destinations worldwide.
It’s a place that has charming people, beautiful beaches, and fun activities in abundance. And I’ve heard on the blogosphere that once you’ve been here, it leaves a mark on your heart forever.
That’s right—I finally get to vacation in Bali, Indonesia.
But that’s not all. My family and I are headed to Seminyak, which is considered the “luxury” village of Bali.
Even though this area is full of fashionable boutiques, upmarket restaurants, and plush resorts, there are 3 places in particular that I really loved.

1. Alila Seminyak Bali Hotel
Firstly, the Alila Seminyak Bali is situated at the end of a breathtaking eight-kilometer beach with golden sands and turquoise waters.
It’s well-located in the heart of the village, right next to the Potato Head Beach Club, and it has an infinity pool—and I’ve always dreamed of staying somewhere with an infinity pool!
Designed by Gaurang Khemka who represents an award-winning Singapore architectural firm called URBNarc, the interior of the hotel is modern, spacious, and described as a “lush secret garden.”
It’s also part of the Hyatt hotel group and the best accommodation that I’ve discovered so far.
I stayed in the Oceanview Suite—and soaked up the scenery!

2. The Edge Bali
The Edge Bali is another high-end resort in Uluwatu that’s made up entirely of luxury villas. I celebrated my birthday at their OneEighty restaurant.
The reason why I chose it is because it’s situated on a clifftop with panoramic views of both the Indian Ocean and the hotel’s pretty pool.
With the restaurant being fully booked for up to six weeks prior to a specific date, make sure you pre-plan your booking and stay at The Edge Bali and experience their hospitality.

3. Potato Head Beach Club
Finally, one of my favorite clubs Potato Head Beach Club!
Consisting of three bars, three restaurants, an infinity pool, and gorgeous greenery, Potato Head is known for its stunning sunsets, amphitheater structure, and relaxed atmosphere.
Plus, it’s home to parties, exhibitions, and installations featuring international musicians, artists, and architects, which is a fun way to spend a summery Bali evening.
